Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, we have adapted as needed based on the governor’s updates to provide our families with the best dance education in a safe and welcoming environment.
Added Safety Procedures:
1-Masks are required at all times on our property both indoors and outdoors. Social distance of 6 feet apart must be maintained at all times.
2- Temperature checksand Covid-19 questionnairefor all staff membersanddancers when entering the building. *See the questionnaire below, parents can complete the questionnaire prior to class through the Parent Portals or TDC staff will as they’re taking attendance.
3– Hand-sanitizing stations are located at the entrance of every classroom and throughout the building. Students must wash hands or use the sanitizing station before every class.
4-Entrance and exit changes as listed in the video and staggered class times help to limit traffic in the building. No entrance through the lobby.
5- Lobby is closed and class sizes are limited to comply with current capacity restrictions. Parents are welcome to wait in their cars in the parking lot. Students may not wait in the hallway between classes but are welcome to wait with their parents in the parking lot.
6- If your child is sick, please stay home. If a child exhibits any signs or symptoms of infection or Covid-19 while at TDC, they will be sent home immediately.
7- Bathrooms will be cleaned hourly and classroom floors sanitized via fogged/steam cleaning between each class- 15-20 mins will be left between each class to allow for classroom cleaning procedures.
8-Hallway cubbies are closed. Dance bags are to be brought into the classroom and placed in the designated area assigned to them. Each student will be assigned a 6 foot area to dance in and an area for their bag– please limit items to what is needed for that day only and for hydration only. Refrigerator and microwave are closed. No cell phone or apple watch use allowed in the classrooms, bathrooms, or student hallway.
9- Ballet and pointe students- should bring a wash cloth or hand towel to hang over the ballet barre every class as an extra protective barrier. Pointe students will be responsible to supply their own rosin for their use only. Barres will be wiped between each class with CDC recommended cleaning products.
10- Acro, Yoga, Silks students please bring your own yoga or panel mat if possible to limit the sharing of items. Any mats provided will be for single student use only during that class and wiped down between each class with CDC recommended cleaning products. When silks classes resume, equipment is for single student use only each day so classes will be very limited.
11-While we clean the floors between each class- as an extra precaution Intermediate level and up Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary students should please bring their own towel or yoga mat in case extensive floor work will be done.
