Announcing: The Nutcracker 2026

Choreography Week will be 8/31, 9/1, 9/2, 9/3 in the evening, specific schedule announced soon.

Fall Practices will be held Saturdays 9:00am-12:00pm, 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 10/31, 11/14, 11/21

Soloist and specialty roles will be scheduled for individual practice slots on Friday evenings.

$300 participation fee includes all practice dates & costume rental. If your dancer is a previous Nutcracker performer and they have a costume in good condition to return, they receive $100 off!

The practice fee of $300 will be broken in 3 payments; $100 due Aug. 14, $100 due Sept 14, $100 due Oct 14.

Team TDC Auditions

The Dance Centre offers an award-winning, intensive competitive team program in which students who are more serious about making a commitment or career out of dance can excel. This team is offered by invitation of the director or audition only.  This experience requires a serious commitment of time by the dancers who choose to participate and a financial commitment for their parents.  Competitive classes are offered in Ballet, Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Acrobatics and Musical Theater.  Students in South Toms River, NJ are encouraged to compete in multiple styles of dance in order to become well-rounded dancers.

Auditions are open to all who are ages 4 or older and are interested in our competitive team.  A New Liability Waiver and media release must be signed by parents and a hard copy brought in with them the day of the audition before entering the audition room for the 2026-27 season. Liability Waiver  Media Release

Auditions are June 9th & 10th, $50 per dancer auditioning for Mini through Senior level teams, and $25 for Pre-Team members for ages 4-5.

All dancers must attend the Ballet, Jazz and Jumps Leaps & Turns audition classes. Dancers are encouraged to audition in all styles of dance. Dancers should wear all black and hair in a bun for ballet classes.

Audition sessions are based on age groups unless instructed otherwise by the Director.
